A fair test asks, “What did I record before I knew the answer?” Ask someone to hide one of five distinct objects in a box. Before opening it, write raw qualities: hard or soft, natural or manufactured, rounded or angular.
Short lesson: score what you wrote
Circle specific matches and cross out clear misses. “Metallic and narrow” is scorable; “interesting energy” is too flexible. Choose the number of trials beforehand and save all sessions.
A match can occur by chance. This is recreation, not proof of psychic ability, and it should never replace evidence or expert advice.
The Treasure Chest challenge turns this principle into a playful ordering game with concealed choices and feedback.
