Yes. Adults can enjoy an intuition-themed game as recreation without agreeing that psychic abilities exist. A shared hidden-order or first-choice activity can be an opportunity to notice how people guess and respond to feedback. Enjoying the game does not require treating its results as scientific evidence.

How do we start without a debate?

Invite a friend to a short guessing game and explain the actual steps. Avoid asking them to prove that they are open-minded or promising to change their beliefs. Agree on a few rounds and give either person permission to stop. A comfortable invitation is more useful than a test of loyalty.

For a paper warm-up, place three labeled cards in a hidden order and ask your friend to record a predicted order. Reveal all three after the guess is fixed. Then exchange roles. Decide the scoring rule beforehand and use it for both players.

What should we say about a match?

You can say, “That matched the order,” without deciding why. Chance, ordinary clues, and prior exposure may influence a result. A small number of rounds is not a reliable demonstration of unusual perception, even when the experience feels striking.

Include misses in the conversation. A playful activity becomes less comfortable when one person reinterprets every miss or demands that the other person accept a supernatural explanation. Let each person describe their own experience without assigning a belief to them.

Can this be cooperative instead of competitive?

Yes. Make the shared goal following a clear procedure: record first, reveal second, and discuss one observation. You can celebrate a well-run round even when neither guess matches. If someone is tired or distracted, choose a shorter session rather than making concentration a character judgment.

This approach is particularly useful with friends who have different reasons for playing. One may enjoy curiosity, another the surprise of a reveal, and another a brief break from work. None needs to adopt the other’s explanation.
